By downloading, installing, accessing, or using Cogito ergo sum (the "App"), you agree to these Terms & Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Purpose of the App

Cogito ergo sum is a single-player, offline arcade game. The App is designed to operate without user accounts, online multiplayer, or cloud saving.

2. Eligibility

The App is intended for a general audience, 13 years of age and over. The App is not directed to children under 13. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you must have your parent or legal guardian's permission to use the App.

3. License and Acceptable Use

3.1 License

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on devices you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial entertainment.

3.2 Prohibited Use

You agree not to:

Use the App in violation of any applicable law or regulation.
Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, modify, or create derivative works of the App except to the extent such restriction is prohibited by law.
Attempt to cheat, hack, or otherwise interfere with the intended operation of the App.

4. Virtual Currency and Items

The App features a virtual currency ("Wisdom") and virtual items (such as permanent upgrades) that you can earn through gameplay or by choosing to watch rewarded adverts.

No Monetary Value: Wisdom and virtual items have no real-world monetary value. They cannot be bought with real money, exchanged for real money, or transferred to another person, device, or account.
Permanent Loss: All balances and upgrades exist only within your local installation of the App. They are permanently lost if the App is uninstalled, if its data is cleared, or if your device is lost or reset. The App does not support cloud backups.
Modifications: We reserve the right to change the price, effect, or reward value of any virtual currency or item at any time without notice.

5. Advertising

The App offers you the option to watch rewarded adverts provided by Google AdMob in exchange for in-game benefits. You are under no obligation to watch these adverts. If you choose to do so, your interaction with the adverts is subject to Google's policies and data practices, as described in our Privacy Policy.

6. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. The App is designed to collect no personal information. For details on what data is stored locally and how advertising works, please review our Privacy Policy.

7. Intellectual Property

The App and all associated intellectual property (including code, gameplay, visuals, and audio) are owned by IV Digital LLC, its co-creators, or its licensors. These Terms do not grant you any ownership rights.

8. Warranty Disclaimer

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND THAT THE APP WILL BE ERROR-FREE OR UNINTERRUPTED.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROGRESS, OR DEVICE FAILURE ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE APP, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

10. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of these Terms or the App will be resolved in the courts located in Jackson County, Michigan, United States, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

11. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.
